In other words, this is the perfect place to work hard and play harder.  We are currently seeking a Senior Editor to join our Integrated Production Services (IPS) team. Solid creative execution using FCP and demonstrated experience leading a team is required. Live action production experience is a plus. This individual must be a skillful coach for other post-production team members. The agency and position, requires a strong work ethic and pride in workmanship at all times. This is a highly collaborative position that requires the editor to work closely with the creative dept. and producers to produce industry-leading work. Candidates with Post Production house or Advertising Agency in-house experience are uniquely qualified to join our team.

Reports To/ VP of Production Services

Duties and Responsibilities Include/

§  Edits video programs using FCP and After Effects to create compelling, high-end videos for multi-platform delivery (including DVD and streaming)

§  Delivers different edit options and styles for a given project

§  Delegates tasks to post-production staff onsite

§  Works closely with VP of IPS to ensure effective post-production workflow of multiple projects

§  Acts as a mentor to post-production staff, providing creative solutions and editorial and technical feedback

§  Develops updates and maintains post-production standard operating procedures, while trouble shooting problem areas throughout the post-production workflow

§  Works in a team environment with copywriters, art directors, video producers, editors, and subcontracted video professionals

§  Must be organized/flexible - have the ability to multi-task and adapt to rapidly shifting priorities

Education & Training/

·  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in relevant business area (e.g., video production, broadcasting, etc.) required

·  Minimum 5 years of experience editing video programs using FCP

·  Minimum 5 years of experience working with Adobe applications, specifically After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator

·  Minimum 5 years of experience with encoding on-demand and live/streaming video solutions like Sorenson Squeeze, Windows Media, and QuickTime formats

·  Minimum 5 years of experience in high definition (HD), 3-dimensional (3D) and motion graphics design and production

·  Experience using 3D applications such as C4D, Maya, and/or 3ds Max

·  Post Production house or Advertising Agency in-house experience is required

Our client is a highend postproduction boutique in Barcelona, Spain.

They have been rewarded a big commerical project and are looking for 2 awesome FX/Particle TDs. You work with Softimage XSI (ICE) or Houdini (or similar program) and procedural dynamics effects. Daily rate: 255€, company provides apartment in central Barcelona and airline tickets, EC citizens prefered.

Brief of project:

Basically the main idea is to fill out and animated object with geometry (i.e: cubes) having this geometry its own live, i.e: when the main object touches something the cubes either change color and/or position, so basically the little cubes (hundreds of them ) have their own dynamic forces and behavior but always following the main character.

Dates:

TD # 1needs to begin on the 22nd March finishing April 19th for a 15″sec commercial.

TD # 2 needs to begin on the 30th of March and finish around the 28th of April.

This position works in HBO’s in-house Media Center/Post-Production facility and is responsible for performing a variety of post-production services. Successful candidate will have a fundamental understanding of professional video formats (analog and digital) and associated playback decks.
