Senior Segment Producer - HBO
Produce clear, compelling segments for Real Sports that portray the style, voice and tone of HBO.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
# Research, develop and pitch stories that reflect the ambitious and unique sensibility of the show.
# Responsible for concept development, design, graphics, evaluation, story-telling, sound and delivery of segment ideas.
# Continually offer feedback on the quality of our segments and fill in when needed on other shows.
# Proactively makes decisions in the field, edit room and in the office with department-wide and company-wide ramifications in mind (budget, PR, legal, etc.).
# Keep abreast of industry trends and infuse a forward-looking creative perspective into our sports programming.
# Manage and mentor junior staff members.
REQUIREMENTS:
# 5-7 years experience of segment and/or features in sports production.
# Organized self-starter that possesses strong knowledge of sports and creative problem solving ability.
# Strong project management skills required to ensure product meets objectives while maintaining budget and schedule targets.
# Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
# Writes formats and structures scripts effectively.
# Controls budgets.
# Exhibits quality shot making and graphic/visual sense.
# Ability to demonstrate outstanding judgment in a sports production environment.
