Multimedia Specialist - Google
As a Multimedia Specialist, you’ll drive the vision and artistic direction in creating multimedia and developing web experiences for global internal employees and external customers and users. You will develop and foster the vision for the look and feel of our training products, creating branding, interfaces, web sites and multimedia objects related to the team’s efforts to educate Google employees and customers. Responsibilities:
* Serve as a primary resource and expert for graphic design, multimedia development and web programming.
* Develop ideas and concepts to translate topics into engaging and accessible online content through user interfaces (UI), PowerPoint templates, graphics, illustrations, animations and/or simulations for E-learning courseware and classroom presentations.
* Program and deploy interactive and engaging E-learning programs, with assessments and simulations, onto web sites or a learning management system (LMS) – making sure to adhere to Google programming, UI and visual design standards.
* Produce and edit video segments for standalone use and integration into E-learning or classroom-based curricula.
* Develop and lead the branding and internal marketing efforts of the training team, including developing and maintaining the team web site.
Requirements:
* BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record.
* At least 2 years of experience in design and development of web-based applications (academic degrees in graphic design or web design and development are acceptable substitutes for work experience).
* Proficiency in many, if not all, of the following: Macromedia Flash (including Actionscript), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, mySQL, Adobe Premiere and After Effects (or the equivalent).
* Knowledge of SCORM programming, Section 508 and accessibility, and learning management systems preferred.
* Knowledge of various computer applications (Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel), operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux), and browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari).
* Knowledge of Google products such as Gmail, Docs and Spreadsheets preferred.
* Ability to learn new products and technology quickly.
