Media Asset Manager - NBC Universal
The Media Asset Manager position is found within the Post Production Media Asset Management Division for NBC’s Cable Entertainment Channels. This position reports to the Director, Post Production & Centralized Scheduling for the Englewood Cliffs Network Operations Center. The Media Manager will work closely with all Network Operations teams, On Air Promotion and Programming.
The Responsibilities of the Media Asset Manager, include (and are not limited to):
# Monitoring and maintaining available work space on in house shared storage (Avid Unity/ISIS
# Archiving and deleting files to insure there is always enough work space available on server
# Troubleshooting issues related to Avid files, Ingest, Tape Deliverables.
# Maintaining tracking report of all issues
# Working closely with Editorial staff to research discrepancies
# Developing standard operating procedures for Media Operations Group
# Monitoring SGL/Flashnet User Interface and Unity Transfer Manager
# Reconstructing Avid sequences as needed
# Approving requests for tapes to be ingested to server based upon space availability
# Quality control screen files for our New Media related material
# Working closely with Media Operations Center to monitor the on air make list daily
# Maintaining file continuity for shared server (Drop Box)
# Manually rebuilding pmr files on Avid system
# Familiarity with file transcoding and compression (New Media Content Delivery)
# Creating, maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures for all MOG departments
# Assisting in prepping and maintaining material for edit sessions in a non-linear server environment.
# Providing assistance to editors and producers and providing graphic support as needed
# Supporting On-Air Marketing, Program Prep, Program Screening and Programming with all of their digital transfer needs, feed records and other related services for their editorial needs.
