Character TD/Rigging- Ilion Animation Studios
Description:
Designs, implements and creates animation controls and deformation systems to control 3D geometry which may represent characters, creatures, vehicles, props for a movie production , according to the technical guidelines of the character rigging supervisor.
Works with animators to ensure building of most effective animation controls.
Develops tools, procedures and interfaces to optimize setup pipeline.
Create and maintain studio wide solutions for character and animation pipeline.
Develops character rigs for shot production for projects.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of CG character animation setup experience in a production environment.
Must have strong communication, problem solving and collaboration skills.
Must work well in a team, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of anatomy and motion.
Good understanding of existing CG deformation and rigging techniques.
Desired Skills and Pluses:
Strong technical knowledge of 3ds Max and MaxScript.
Knowledge of Autodesk Maya preferred (but not required).
Knowledge of XSI preferred (but not required).
