Would you do me a favor? I teach television broadcasting/video editing at a high school in Minnesota and I’ve been trying to defend buying Apple FCP systems and getting rid of our AVID PC computers. (I shoot and edit weddings on the weekend and edit in FCP). Our school district thinks that Apple FCP is not being used in the professional broadcasting industry. Can you reply to my email as if I were a high school student saying…”I know how to edit on AVID, but I do not know how to use Final Cut Pro. Isn’t knowing AVID good enough for the job?”
I’m really looking for broadcasting professionals to tell it how it is and the world is moving to Apple for professional broadcasting equipment. Thanks for your time!
