I am looking for an Assistant Editor Strong in Final Cut Pro 6 and knows Cinema Tools cold. You will be working on a Feature Film (approximately a 23 week post schedule). This is a union job and is paying union scale. Looking for an assistant that has their own edit system and willing to have production ship it back East for you to use.

There will be two edit systems. The editor is bringing his and you are bringing yours. If you have a Kona 3 card that’d be great as this is what the Editor uses. You will be using shared storage.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop a general character framework for upcoming projects in Maya, specifically including facial rigging. more

Supervise reporters, photographers, videotape editors, and interns; Understand and implement the news philosophy of the news director; Field produce and edit news stories for reporters and newscast anchors; Make news judgments on coverage and presentation of the day’s news events; Make contacts and gather information about news issues/events in northern Nevada and the west; Review and edit scripts written by other staff members; Work with reporters, assignment editors, and photographers to make sure KRNV completely, accurately, and fairly covers news events; Establish a good working relationship with the newscast director and the production crew to ensure a well-paced, clean newscast; Assist in long range planning for the news department; Write interesting news stories from wire copy, field reports, and telephone interviews; and Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contribution. more
