JOB OPENING: COMMERCIALS VISUAL EFFECTS SUPERVISOR
LOCATION: VENICE, CALIFORNIA
Summary:
As a member of the Key Creative Commercials team, the Commercials VFX Supervisor leads various commercial projects through the entire process of VFX development and production including maintaining client dialogue to meet deadlines and key midpoint approvals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain and nurture key client relations through a commercial production.
· Analyzes and forecasts software/hardware trends within the 3D disciplines, recommending appropriate hardware, software and upgrades to maximize profitability and efficiency.
· Establish techniques to achieve the visual goals and standards for the Client and company.
· Create, or research, innovative cost time efficient solutions to problems that emerge in
achieving production goals.
· Completes Bids in partnership with the Producer including breaking down scripts
· On-Set Supervision of all visual effects plates as necessary
· Review and approve all CG elements at each stage of development.
· Work with department manager on resource allocation
· In conjunction with the Department Manager/Recruiter, coordinates the technical requirements of recruiting, hiring and training department members
· Inspire and lead the collaboration amongst the CG artists and production team with the end goal of producing work that is exemplary of the DD creative philosophy.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
· Degree in Film, Computer Graphics, or related field preferred
· 5+ years of Supervisory experience required.
· Has expert knowledge of A+ compositing and CGI effects work, including a superior working knowledge of various high end CG software required to accomplish the tasks.
· Fresh Rolodex of successful Client relations preferred.
· Energetic self starter
· Strong communication and active listening skills required
· Strong leadership and mentorship abilities required
